Q:  Where is my data stored?  Does Socialibrium LLC have access to it?
A:  All communication tracked by Scale is stored locally on your phone.  There is no communication back to Socialibrium, and we have no access to that data.  It is as secure as your device.

Q:  How does Scale recognize meetings?
A:  Scale will recognize either meetings to which a contacts has been “invited” (i.e. as an “attendee”) or in which a contact’s full name has been input in the Notes field.  This spelling must match the Address Book for both first and last names.

Q:  Does Scale work with Outlook?
A:  Scale works with any desktop email manager.  As long as the email account is associated with your Blackberry, Scale will recognize it.

Q:  Does Scale recognize emails sent from a secondary email address?
A:  Yes!  New functionality has been added that allows secondary email accounts to be recognized by Scale.  This does not work for secondary calendars yet though.

Q: Scale does not seem to recognize my calendar.  What’s wrong?
A: Scale recognizes and imports messages and calendar entries from your “default” Blackberry email account.  We are working on multi-account support, but for now, only a single account can be included.

To ensure your primary calendar is set to default, go to Tools/Options/Advanced Options/Default Services.  Ensure that the account shown is the ones you use as your primary calendar.  

Save your settings, and Scale should immediately recognize messages sent and calendar entries created using that account.

Q:  Does Scale sync with my desktop?
A:  Scale will recognize any communication already synchronized between your Blackberry and desktop (e.g. meetings and emails).  So if you send an email from your desktop, and the account is synchronized with your Blackberry, Scale will import it.

Q:  How do reminders work?
A: Reminders provide a blue dot next to the contact and group for which the reminder is active.  Reminders are imported from your Address Book (e.g. birthdays) and can also be manually input into Scale.

Q:  When I install Scale, my existing SMS messages were not imported.  What happened?
A: BlackBerry's do not allow old SMS messages to be exported into third party applications.  Scale will recognize all future SMS messages sent; just not historical ones.
